DO I NEED A SPECIFIC CRICUT MACHINE TO USE THIS BOOK?
Not at all! Every project lists which Cricut cutting machines are compatible, so you’ll know exactly what’s needed. And if you don’t own a machine yet, the book can also help guide you in choosing the one that’s the best fit for your wedding crafting.
Cricut products such as Design Space and machines evolve over time, so this book has intentionally avoided focusing on functions that are likely to change so you can make the projects with whichever model you have.
HOW IN-DEPTH DOES THIS BOOK GO?
Cricut Weddings is designed with beginners in mind, so it walks you through the basics (including Design Space) with helpful pro tips so you feel confident making every project. Cricut Updates & Compatibility
SEPTEMBER 2026: Cricut has just released Maker 5, and all projects and educational information are still relevant and compatible.
→ PENS: The pen projects work with Maker 5, but Maker 5 can only use Cricut’s new 'universal' pens. Older generation pens are not compatible, so please check pen packaging before purchasing.
→ SCORING: Maker 5 utilizes the new Scoring Tool which comes with new machines. The original scoring stylus cannot snap into the machine, so be sure to have this new tool on hand for your scoring projects.

AUGUST 2026: Though Autopress doesn’t feature as an essential heat press in the book, it bears mentioning that Autopress 2 was recently released. All educational information in the book is still relevant as there are no core functionality differences between the two generations that would affect your DIY.

JUNE 2026: All Joy machines (Joy, Joy 2, and Joy Xtra) now have the capability of Scoring! Any compatible book projects that note manual scoring can now be done by machine. For U.S. and UK readers, you can currently purchase the Joy family scoring tool online on Cricut’s website.

MARCH 2026: While Joy 2 and Explore 5 are not included in the book as it was written before they launched, all projects and educational information are still relevant and compatible.
→ PRINT THEN CUT: The book’s two Print Then Cut projects now can also be made with Joy 2. (Yay!)
→ SCORING: Scoring is now available for Joy 2, so some paper projects may now be made if resized as width size is still limited to 4.5 in (11.4cm). Explore 5 utilizes the new Scoring Tool; the original scoring stylus cannot snap into the machine.
→ PENS: The pen projects work with Explore 5, but Explore 5 can only use Cricut’s newest 'universal' pens. Older generation pens are not compatible, so please check pen packaging before purchasing.
→ BLADES: Joy 2 and Explore 5 come with new redesigned, integrated blade + plastic housing units. The blades by themselves are not removable; you will need to purchase the entire unit to replace. It’s important to note that the original metal housing units used for all Joy and Explore family machines (as seen in the book) are still compatible with these new machines.
